But when will I run?

At this point, the biggest casualty of the return to office order has been progress towards my yearly running goal. Let's take a look at where I am for the month of March.

It ain't looking good folks. I'm about 80 miles behind theoretical. There is a fair amount of time left in the year, but given my plans to start bike commuting, which will replace running on those days, I'm not sure how I can make up the missing distance. I'll continue tracking my running, but I may have to adjust my goal. I originally made that goal based on running plans I made on the assumption of working from home 2 to 3 days a week. Given that I'm now working in the office every day, I've had to adjust my training plans towards lower weekday mileage. In combination with that, I've had to reduce my weekend mileage to meet some other commitments.

I'm holding onto hope that the return to office order won't be permanent, but at this point, I think I need to accept that my mileage goal is no longer attainable, given the balance of other interests and obligations.
